A Whole New Look

We have been very busy lately with ball season and two kids playing. Leann played softball again this year and loved it, but was glad to have a break when the season ended. Matthew on the other hand played baseball and dreads the season ending. Matthew is our team's catcher, and an awesome catcher at that (yes I know I am bias). I will publish another post later with ball pics of both kids. Back to what this post is all about. Last year Matthew made the Allstars team as the catcher and had a great time playing. Well, when it was time for Allstars picks this year we were not totally sure what to expect. However, Matthew made the Allstars team again this year! We are extremely proud of him. Last year the day before the Allstars tournament we had Matthew's number shaved into the back of his head. Matthew asked if we could shave his number in his head again this year, but later decided he wanted to change it up a little. So, we went this morning and got a special Allstars haircut.

Before: He was so excited!

After: Yes he has a mohawk and yes his number which is 10 is shaved into either side of his head.

If you cannot tell he LOVES IT!!!!!

He likes the idea of when he jerks his catcher's helmet off he will have a funky haircut showing. Good luck to the West Stanly Nationals!!!!!

Easter 2010

I have not posted in a while so I wanted to update with some pictures from Easter. We had a great Easter spent with family, and friends. We had an egg hunt at the church on Saturday, but I forgot my camera of course.

After church on Sunday we went to my parent's house where the kids got to spend time with their newest "cousin" Rusty. Matthew and Leann both love their new cousin.

After lunch at my parents house we had our annual egg skeet. Yes, if you are wondering we are rednecks. We dye a bunch of hard boiled eggs and then launch them off the skeet shooter. As the eggs are launched and we try to catch the flying eggs in minnow nets. Told ya we are rednecks, but it is a lot of fun and it gets rid of all the Easter eggs.

We also went to Grandma C's house. The kids love going to her house, but they definitely missed their other cousins who were away on a cruise.

I hope everyone had a great Easter I know we did but we were all very tired once the weekend was over. Maybe next year I will remember my camera while the kids are doing their egg hunt. I think I said that last year as well.

New Years Resolutions

I cannot believe today is the first day of 2010! I remember it being such a huge deal that it was almost the year 2000. While 2009 has been a good year I hope that 2010 is great! I do not usually make New Year's Resolutions because I have a hard time keeping them. However, this year I have many things that I hope to accomplish. So, I made a list to try and keep myself accountable over the next 12 months.

1. I hope to be a better wife to my husband.

2. I hope to be a better mother to my children.

3. I hope to be a better daughter/DIL to my parents.

4. I hope to be a better sister/SIL to my brother/SILs.

5. I hope to serve more in church.

6. I hope to continue running and run a marathon.

7. I hope to build more patience(this one may take a miracle)

8. I hope to spend more quality time with my family.

9. I hope to choose my battles a little more carefully.

10. I hope to grow stronger in my relationship with Christ.

I hope to accomplish more than what I have listed but 2010 will be great if I can accomplish most of what is on my list. I guess we shall see. Happy New Year!!!!
